We Serve Planters
Often the church planting in North America is either "institutional franchising" -- using a cookie-cutter approach to replicate a specific model of doing church -- or a "fantasy model" -- an "ideal" church that is in the mind of the church planter. Neither of these approaches is appropriate for the large number of cultural contexts in North America today. Both of these approaches can lead to a stale model that does not speak to a cultural group in their own heart language.
We believe that congregations needs to be developed out of the cultural soil of the community. Starting a congregation means raising up believers and empowering them to develop a culturally-appropriate, fresh expression of church within their cultural context. Our church planter development process encourages contextualized, missional expressions.
